| System administrators or management may be interested in changes to the
same data from day-to-day. Perhaps a lead technician would like to see
when telephones are added to the system. Or perhaps the help desk would
like to see when location information changes for a particular device.
These reports can also be used to monitor for intrusions or malicious
behavior. Many telecom hacks begin with the modification or creation of
stations, accounts, and trunks. Delta reports can be used as an
intrusion detection system or "Intrusion Detection
", providing your
telecommunication equipment with another defense against hackers.

| Items added
since last acquisition |
| |
This shows all items added since the last time
this data was acquired. This could be users, agents,
telephones, trunks, etc. When any item is added,
this query will show it on the next day's report. |
| Items deleted
since last acquisition |
| |
This shows all items deleted since the last
time this data was acquired. Should any item be
deleted, this query will notify the appropriate
system administrator, manager, or analyst. |
| Items
modified since last acquisition |
| |
This shows all fields that have been modified
since last acquisition. If a user's name has changed
for a telephone, this will simply show the old
name and the new name for that telephone. If a
class-of-service changed, or a line appearance
was added, this query shows the old value and
the new value. Only changes are shown so you have
just the data you need. |
